Kantarat Golf Course | Golf between the runways of Don Muang Airport

Kantarat Golf Course is an 18-hole public golf course in Bangkok, located right inside Don Muang Airport, lying parallel to the runway. It is the only golf course in the world built between the runways of an international airport, owned by the Royal Thai Air Force.

What makes it unforgettable is that players can tee off while watching a Boeing 747 land on the runway right next to the fairway. The view is impressive, but it can easily throw off your game if you are not careful. Getting to the back nine also means walking across a busy taxiway while planes are landing.

The course itself is nothing fancy in terms of greens, fairways or prices, but the thrill of playing golf next to an active runway is what makes it one of the most talked about courses in the world. From hotels around IMPACT it takes about 30 minutes to get there, a fitting half day trip for golf lovers with time to spare.
