K-pop and International Concerts at IMPACT Arena and Thunder Dome

If you have wondered when your favorite artist performed at Muang Thong Thani, or if you are planning a trip to see a live show, this article compiles the concerts held at IMPACT Arena and Thunder Dome in 1 place, grouped by country and genre with the dates and venue for each event. This dataset covers July 2023 to February 2025, so it represents a snapshot of this period rather than the complete history of the 2 venues.

During this period, 56 events took place across the 2 venues, divided into 38 events at IMPACT Arena and 18 events at Thunder Dome.

Korean and K-pop Artists

K-pop is the largest international category with 16 events, split evenly between the 2 venues and held consistently across all 3 years, with 6 events in 2023, 6 events in 2024, and 4 events in early 2025. In addition, 6 of these events ran for 2 consecutive days, so if you miss tickets for the 1st show, it is worth checking the 2nd day.

Japanese Artists

There were fewer shows from Japan, but they covered rock, pop, and soloists. Fujii Kaze was the only artist in this group to hold a 2-day concert.

Chinese and Mandopop Artists

This category is grouped mainly by musical style and the Chinese-language market, as JJ LIN is a Singaporean artist who sings in Mandarin and WayV has members of multiple nationalities. All 3 events took place at IMPACT Arena in late 2024.

Western Artists

Notably, all 8 Western shows were held on weekdays, unlike K-pop concerts which almost always start on Saturday or Sunday. Fans following these artists should plan for time off work and late-night transport before a workday. February 2025 alone featured 3 Western concerts in 1 month: Maroon 5, Green Day, and The Script.

Thai Artists

Although this article focuses on international acts, Thai events form the largest group in the dataset with 20 shows, 17 of which were held at IMPACT Arena. Entries listed as "Various Artists" in the artist column indicate events where the dataset did not specify the individual performers.

Other Events

This group includes festivals or events where the dataset did not clearly specify the performers or nationality, so we have separated them rather than guessing.

Most Frequent Performers

Among international artists, IVE and (G)I-DLE had the most events at 2 times each. Counting total show days, IVE leads slightly with 3 days compared to 2 days for (G)I-DLE. Both groups followed a similar path, starting at Thunder Dome in 2023 and returning to IMPACT Arena for their next show. Every other international artist in the tables appears once.

On the Thai side, the most frequent recurring series was GRAMMY X RS with 3 events (90's Versary, 2K Celebration, and Dance Arena), followed by GMMTV STARLYMPIC and STARLYMPICS across 2 consecutive years. All figures cover only the timeframe of this dataset, so artists who performed before or after this period may have more total appearances.

International Events at Other Venues in Muang Thong Thani

Several shows that music fans remember were not held in the 2 main venues and are therefore not counted in the tables above. Always check the venue name on your ticket before traveling, as each hall is in a different location.

Transport Tips for Fans

1. Check if multiple events overlap on the same day. There were 10 days in the dataset when both venues hosted events simultaneously, such as 29 Jul 2023 with GRAMMY X RS at IMPACT Arena and aespa at Thunder Dome, or 2 Nov 2024 with WayV and Bang Yedam. Leave earlier on days like these.
2. The train offers predictable travel times. Take the MRT Pink Line to IMPACT Muang Thong Thani station. Vans from Mo Chit or Victory Monument drop passengers off at Cosmo Bazaar. See the Getting There page for further details.
3. For fans traveling from other provinces or abroad. A taxi takes about 15 minutes from Don Mueang Airport and about 45 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport, depending on traffic conditions.
4. Plan your return trip before entering the venue. Large crowds exit at the same time after the show ends, especially on weeknights when people are rushing home. Check the last train times and agree on a meeting point with friends in advance.
5. Prepare for rain and walking between halls. The covered walkway we can confirm runs from Novotel Bangkok IMPACT to IMPACT Challenger. For routes to IMPACT Arena and Thunder Dome, we do not have confirmed information of continuous roof cover. If visiting during the rainy season, pack a light raincoat or folding umbrella and check the event rules on permitted items.
