What to Eat Before an IMPACT Concert: Restaurants Near the Hall and Late-Night Options

Short answer: If your concert is at IMPACT Arena, the closest restaurants within walking distance are in The Portal building next to the hall: the Food Arena food court on the 3rd floor and restaurants on the 1st and 2nd floors. If you want to sit for a long meal, go to the Food Atrium zone of IMPACT Challenger 3. After the concert, places still open until midnight include Flann O'Brien's Irish Pub, Retro Bar & Cafe, and bars on Bond Street, some of which stay open until 02:00.

How to plan your pre-concert meal

On big concert days, restaurants near the hall are crowded from the afternoon, and most events do not allow outside food inside the hall. Eat before you join the queue. If doors open at 17:00, start eating around 15:00 to 16:00. Many restaurants in the area open only on event days, or close as early as 20:00. If you plan to eat after the concert, pick a place that is genuinely open late.

Restaurants near IMPACT Arena in The Portal

The Portal is next to IMPACT Arena, a few minutes' walk from the hall entrance. It is the best choice if you do not want to walk far.

Food Atrium zone in IMPACT Challenger 3

If you have more time, the Food Atrium zone of IMPACT Challenger 3 has the most choices in the area. You can walk on to IMPACT Arena via the connecting walkway between the buildings.

The Challenger 3 lobby also has Thonglor Thai Cuisine, a halal Thai restaurant, and Bistro de Champagne. Both are open 11:00 to 20:00, but only on event days. For coffee, there is The Coffee Academics on the 1st floor of Challenger 3, and Ease Cafe in the Challenger 2 lobby and the IMPACT Forum lobby, which open only on event days.

If your event is at Exhibition Hall or Thunder Dome

• Hong Kong Fisherman in the Exhibition Hall 12 lobby. Cantonese food and dim sum, open daily 11:00 to 22:00. Tel. 02-833-5434. It is a large restaurant that takes groups, and it is not far from Thunder Dome.
• Terrazza in the Exhibition Hall 6 lobby. Made-to-order dishes and buffet, open only on event days, 09:00 to 21:00.
• 6 Zero Garage & Roaster on the 1st floor of parking building P3. A coffee shop open 08:00 to 18:00, handy for a stop before a daytime event.

Hotel restaurants within walking distance

If you would rather avoid the event crowds, restaurants in the hotels next to the halls are a more comfortable place to sit.

• 145°F Grill & Bar at Novotel Bangkok IMPACT. Steak and drinks. Dinner 17:00 to 22:00, last order 21:30. Good for an unhurried meal before a concert.
• 94 Bar at Novotel Bangkok IMPACT. Open daily 10:00 to 23:00, last order 22:30. You can stop for a drink after a concert that ends fairly early.
• The SQUARE and The Deli Shop at Novotel Bangkok IMPACT. A restaurant, plus coffee, cakes and takeaway sandwiches.
• GROOVE & GREENS Café on the lobby floor of ibis Bangkok IMPACT. Healthy food with plant-based options. There is also TASTE Restaurant, the hotel's main restaurant.

What is still open after the concert

If a concert ends around 22:30, there is still about an hour to sit down at Flann O'Brien's or Retro Bar & Cafe. If it ends later, Smo Bar on Bond Street is open until 02:00. Note that most car parks close at 24:00, so if you drive, check the car park closing time before settling in for a long meal.

Nearby malls with restaurants

Beehive Lifestyle Mall and Cosmo Bazaar are shopping centers in Muang Thong Thani close to IMPACT, with many more restaurants and cafes. Tsubohachi, a Japanese izakaya, has branches at Beehive, The Portal and Cosmo Bazaar. Opening hours differ from shop to shop in the malls, so check before you go, especially if you plan to eat after the concert.
